The Mission District Spots in San Francisco

I was out hanging with the Big Bro B.P., Ms. Meesha and Pops over at Tacolicious in the Mission District of San Francisco a little while back (during the first day the Golden State Warriors were in the 2015 NBA Playoffs). While walking down Valencia Street, we came across this alley way full of artists creating these breathtaking murals. Not sure who organized this exhibit, but it was wonderful and well worth the stop and look. If you ever come to San Francisco and want to hang out where there is good music, food, people and culture (lsoa lot of diversity - very multi-cultural), then the Mission District is worth an afternoon. Quiet as it's kept, it also has some of the best weather in S.F.  Lastly, make sure you stop by the Bi-Rite Creamery. They have some of the best ice cream in San Francisco *hands down*.

Luxury Fashion Favorite - GOYARD

I’ve been trying to decide which handbag I wanted to rock this spring/summer. More than likely it will be a tote, something to hold all of the essentials. So, I wanted something from an established label. Not that I have to have a luxury label, but in reality, I love luxury fashion labels. Don’t judge me.

Anyway, Chanel Quilted Bags are over saturating the fashion scene on TV right now.

Due to the added Media exposure, I’ve seen more and more people wearing Chanel bags over the last 2 years or so. I’ve never been one to “follow” trends typically, so no Chanel for me this season. I’ll wait for the hype to die down first, and then rock it out.

GOYARD is along established French trunk and leather goods maker. Established in 1853 in Paris, and previously doing business as Martin (Pierre-François Martin founded the House of Martin in 1792)[1] and then Morel,[2] it is the oldest such organization still in business, older than Louis Vuitton by one year.[3] Jean-Michel Signoles bought Goyard in 1998,[4] and turned the privately-owned company into an internationally renowned brand:

No Make-Up, No Purchased Hair - Are You Still Considered Beautiful?

Adriana Lima

The things we women go through for appearance purpose. It’s mind boggling. How necessary is all the effort? Particularly when it comes to our natural crown…our HAIR. We spend so much time, effort and money on hair products, stylists, color, weaves, braids and extensions.  Why are we doing this? To fit in? To appear attractive? Adoration? Who knows, but the point is what does a “real woman” even look like anymore? Who dictates what is deemed physically beautiful when it comes women? I doubt that it’s women who set the standards of beauty.

Tamera Mowry

When I’m at home and I strip down the make-up  (I don’t wear hair pieces normally – I do own some though), who I am underneath is beautiful. Not coming from a place of EGO when I express that. Besides color, I’ve been a “natural (no keratin, weaves, relaxers)” for over 20 something years. That’s just my choice. However, I do love to dress up and show out, but I have long periods of existing with no make-up and just a ponytail.

I seriously wonder what the world would look like if no women wore any make-up or purchased hair.  Now, that would be a sight. I wonder how that would change our standard of physical beauty when it comes to women. Maybe I’ll never know :-(

 Rihanna

In my opinion, most women seem so caught up on the media’s ideal of beauty (westernized standards with a twist of overdose on the plastic surgery), that women aren’t even comfortable with just looking “natural” anymore. I know of women who really sleep in their wigs, to avoid exposing their natural look to their significant other.  I think that is crazy, but I’m sure some of you can relate.  I have a challenge for all women. Can you do 1 week without make-up or any weaves/wigs? Can you accept your natural beauty? Can you be just as comfortable in public without the artificial beauty crutches? I challenge you to try it!!

Fashion Designer Favorite - Brian Atwood

If you haven't already heard or read about Brian Atwood, them I'm about to put you on to him.

footwearnews.com reported:

Chicago-born Atwood was the first American designer to be hired by Versace back in 1996. In 2001, Atwood launched his eponymous label, while continuing to consult for the brand, which is also known for its provocative campaign imagery. Most notably featuring a scantily glad Nolan Funk, in their spring ’14 campaign. The Canadian actor and star of “Glee” was shot in tight Versace briefs by famed photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
In 2007, Atwood was named Creative Director of Swiss luxury label, Bally, where he remained until 2010. His fall ’10 presentation in Milan was his last for the brand. He is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Below are some of his works for you to check out:

New Music from Mariah Carey - "Infinity"

Yesssss Ms. Mariah!!! This is what I've been missing. New music from The DIVA OF DISS - Mrs. Carey-Cannon. I love the lyrics! The song arraignments however are a different story though. To each his own. Enjoy!

I so wish I could dedicate these lyrics to a certain someone, but that would be uncalled for and or shady:

[Verse 1]
Why you mad? Talkin' 'bout you're mad
Could it be that you just lost the best you've ever had?
That’s your bag, yup, that’s too bad
Show is over, you ain’t gotta act

Name hold weight like kilos
Boy, you actin' so corny like Fritos
Wouldn’t have none of that without me though
Ain’t none of my business, it's tea though

Outta ammo, gotta reload
If life was a game you're a free throw
It's nothing that you don’t already know

[Chorus]
Close the door, lose the key
Leave my heart on the mat for me
I was yours eternally
There’s an end to infinity
To infinity

[Verse 2]
How I say this? Fact that you still exist
No disrespect, no second thought it truly, truly is
Truthfully I’m through with this
Why are we still doing this?
Answer the phone like, "Who is this?"

Take your head and knock some sense
Je ne comprends pas
Ain’t no compliments (duh)
Ain’t no being friends (duh)
Ain’t no false pretense (duh)
Ain’t no make amends (duh)
Ain’t no come agains (duh)
That’s the story, ain’t no happy ends

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Is it lack of ice got you so cold?
Have you ever felt this on your own?

Why you tryin' to play like you’re so grown?
Everything you own, boy, you still owe

[Chorus]

[Outro]
You're leaving, you're leaving, you're out the door
Infinity loving me more and more
You're leaving, you're leaving, you're out the door
Infinity loving me more and more
Cause I believe infinity is more than just a made up dream
I believe infinity is more than just a made up dream

Is TIDAL Only Just A Ripple

Poor Jay-Z. It must be hard to be a millionaire who has been extremely successful in past ventures of Music, Fashions, Documentaries and etc to be prematurely called out as a failure. March 30, 2015 was the re-launch date of TIDAL (on-line streaming service) and the "Haters" have been praying for failure on this deal since it was first announced. Now, the TIDAL application as fallen out of the ITUNES top 700 app chart. So What!! Can you really be considered a "winner" without losing at one point or another? I think this is a great concept and I really hope that it will be successful in the long run. Heck, if Steve Jobs quit after he first failed at getting Apple, Inc. off the ground - we would still be playing cassette tapes and rewinding VHS tapes for our entertainment. It's going to take time to get this (considering all of the Big Names attached to TIDAL now) up and running smoothly. They say the Jay-Z and Beyonce are going to release a joint album exclusively on TIDAL. Not sure if it's enough to get the positive buzz back up around it or not. Can't hurt I guess *Kanye Shrug*. We'll have to see how this plays out.

P.S. By the way Jay-Z, I'm STILL waiting for my personal call as a TIDAL subscriber. Oh wait, maybe I didn't give the app my REAL phone number (I’m good for giving out fake numbers online, LOL). Anyway, hit me up Jay, tell Bey I won't try to flirt with you *wink*

Diane Sawyer Better Not Go Easy On Bruce Jenner

I have high hopes for this interview. I have so many questions about Bruce Jenner now. He is still a fantastic specimen of Athleticism. An Olympic Triathlon Gold Medal Winner!!! So learning about his journey from the epitome of male physical achievement to a very poised woman is amazing to me. The American Dream 2.0. I really hope that Bruce will be as candid as possible and allow us a look into his new lifestyle as a divorced man transitioning into a woman. This takes a tremendous amount of courage to share something so personal with the world. So I will be tuning in! Diane better be as tough on Bruce Jenner as she was on Whitney Houston during that famous interview that coined the catch phrase "Crack in Whack".

Either way, hopefully ALL of his family is behind Bruce and will continue to support him through this process. Keep your head up Bruce! This interview probably won't be easy. Abcnews.com is reporting:

Jenner has six biological children -- Burt, Cassandra, Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie -- and four step-children -- Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian.

Jenner, a record-shattering, gold medal Olympian and reality television star, talks with Sawyer about the journey through the years, and says in the promo, "It made me who I am."

Jenner sat down with Sawyer for a far-ranging interview that will air on Friday, April 24 during a special two-hour edition of “20/20.”

The special, “Bruce Jenner – The Interview,” airs on ABC at 9 p.m. ET.

“My whole life has been getting me ready for this,” Jenner said.
